Truth and Reconciliation Day

Recognizing truth and reconciliation day 2023

Truth and Reconciliation Day

On September 30th, Canadians take a moment to recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day. This day serves to acknowledge the atrocities that took place against Indigenous people due to the residential school system, and recognizes both survivors and victims of this genocide. With the recent discovery of more than 2000 unmarked graves, today serves as a day of mourning for those within the Indigenous community. Today, we wear orange to show support for our Indigenous community in Canada.
