As we approach Ukrainian Independence Day on August 24th , the AUUC Vancouver Branch wishes to reaffirm our support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Our organization has always supported Ukraine and has proudly shared our rich, unique culture with Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians alike. In this particularly challenging time we continue to support the people of Ukraine through various humanitarian fundraising projects. The statements we publish today are longstanding statements of the AUUC recognizing Ukraine’s right to self-determination. We will continue in the future, as we have in the past, to support the rights of all people to maintain lives of freedom, security, prosperity and peace. We wish for a fair and just peace for Ukraine and its people.
