Our hearts are aching with the loss of our family member, dear friend & forever teacher. Joan was an active member of the AUUC for many years and an integral part of our Ukrainian dance programs at AUUC Vancouver. Joan began teaching dance at the age of 12 years old. From there she became Director of The Dovbush Dancers as well as sat on many boards within the AUUC Vancouver and the AUUC National. Her contributions to the Ukrainian Cultural Centre and our organization were countless, and her memory will forever remain a source of inspiration.

A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date and will be shared shortly. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Joan’s memory to Victoria Hospitals Foundation (Care Teams)  or Vancouver AUUC .
